Support Staff

Although not all licensed funeral directors, these members of our team are vitally important toward the operation of our firm.  These individuals make it possible for us to professionally coordinate funerals with the quality of service our community has come to know and expect from us.

Jon-Paul Beauparlant, Director's Assistant

Born in Croatia, Jon-Paul came to Canada with his family in 2000.  Having served families in the funeral profession for over fifteen years, he believes that this calling for him is about honesty and integrity.  He hopes to work toward earning his Funeral Director's License in the near future.  Outside of work, JP enjoys volunteering with the Rosedale Softball Association as a Little League coach. In his spare time he also enjoys riding his motorcycle and cooking with his family. Jon-Paul and his partner Kim keep busy with their children and pursuing outdoor activities.

Justine Loftis, Funeral Director

Having completed her high school co-op education with us, Justine has gone on to successfully earn her Funeral Director's License in 2019.  While her full time work is outside of Milton, she continues to assist us on an as needed basis and brings a wealth of multi cultural experience and knowledge to the people of our community.  Congratulations on your achievement Justine, we are proud to have you continue working with us.

Daryl Horlick, Funeral Director's Assistant

Daryl joined the J. Scott Early team in 2013 on a part time basis and enjoys the opportunity to work with families during visitation and services.  Married with two grown sons, Daryl has experience working with the Hamilton Region Victim's Services Unit, and is employed full time at our sister Funeral Home in Toronto, Humphrey-Miles, Newbigging.

Laurie Gracey, Housekeeping and Reception

A longtime resident of Milton, Laurie has been a valued part of our staff since 2007.  Her assistance with housekeeping and maintenance led to a more active role in assistance with reception, visitation and funeral services.  A member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Milton, Laurie is also active in dog training and is involved in the Newfoundland Dog Club.

Ellen Trafford, Hairdresser

Ellen has lived in Milton since 1967 and has worked for J. Scott Early Funeral Home for more than 17 years.  She is a professional hairstylist who's full time employ is with Hair Expressions on Main Street.  We are fortunate to have her available to tend to the hairdressing needs of our families.  In addition to her work as a hairstylist, often visiting clients in their home if needed, Ellen is also mom to Danielle and Joe and a "Glamma" to two lovely grandchildren.
