For placing a notice in Canada's National Paper the deadlines are Sunday - Thursday 4:30 p.m., Friday 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 1:00 p.m. If you wish to publish a photo with the notice, it should be submitted by the funeral home well in advance of the deadline.

The Milton Canadian Champion
The Champion is published and distributed every Tuesday and Friday. The cutoff time for placing a death notice is 10:00 a.m. on the day prior to publication. By calling the funeral home in advance, we may be able to reserve space until later in the day.
Daily cutoff times for placement of death notices are as follows: Monday - Thursday 8:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday 3:30 p.m. and Sunday at 5:30 p.m. If you wish to have a photo included with your notice, we should place our order with the paper well in advance of the deadline to ensure publication.
CARDS OF THANKS
This is an insertion in the paper where you thank people that helped you during your time of need. Typically people thank their Doctors, Nurses and friends.
This details the personal data, background, funeral details as well as the survivors of the deceased.
This generally states the deceased's name and the date of passing. It is not uncommon for survivors to include a short poem that fits the occassion.
The death notice gives detail about where the person passed on, who is survivied by them and the location and date of the funeral.
