Gravel, Francoise Carmel passed away peacefully at the Milton District Hospital on December 9, 2021 Francoise married her late husband, Alfred Gravel on June 20, 1953.They lived in Gatineau and Oshawa before moving to Bermuda in the early 60's.They returned to Canada in 1970 with their five children. After a year in the Montreal area, the family moved to Toronto in 1971 to the Lorne Park area of Mississauga. In 1986 Fran & Alf made the move to Milton, Ontario. Fran remained in Milton after Alf's death on December 13, 1997. Fran is survived by her sister Irene (husband Emile), her children, Lynn, Charles (partner Ron), Monique (husband Kevin), Paul, (partner Christine)and Richard. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Marc, Paul (wife Na), Brent, Cole, Sheldon and Thomas and a great grandson, Nathan. Fran was always very busy with her family, her social life and her volunteering commitments at schools, churches & numerous community organizations. In later years Fran was quite active in Milton volunteering with the Milton Historical Society and the Milton Horticultural Society. In 2004 Fran received an Ontario Service award for her volunteering efforts with the Milton Horticultural society. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed Friday afternoon tea and quilting at St. Paul's United Church in Milton for years. Fran continued her love of gardening and socializing when she moved to her condo on Millside Drive. She was a founding member of the weekly coffee get together, fostering great friendships with many of her fellow condo owners/residents. A small family memorial will be held at a later date.
