Obituary of Anne Smith


In loving memory of our mother, grandma, great grandma and sister.  Anne Smith died peacefully on July 9, 2017 leaving her children, Bob and Lynda, Peter and Jane; her grandsons, Geoffrey (Jen), Michael (Belinda) and Greg (Shannon); her great-grandchildren, Mia, Ryan, Tea, Dana and Andrew and a multitude of Scott, Davison and Smith nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her brother Bill Davison and his wife Margaret.  Predeceased by her husband Bob, brothers Tom and Joe and sister Hilda, wife of Munro Scott.  Born Anne Davison in Manchester, England in 1920, she married a Merchant Naval Officer, Bob Smith from Reaboro, Ontario to which they migrated in 1943 during the conflict of WW2.  She lived a full, active and useful life in Lindsay, London, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Toronto, Markham and Stouffville, Ontario.  Cremation has taken place and her remains will be interred with her husband in Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay at a future date.  In honour of her life and charitable nature, those who wish to make a financial tribute in her memory are encouraged to do so to the charity of their choice.  Messages of condolence may be left online at
