Friday, January 5, 2018Helen was a wonderful support to the Judges in Central West in the many important roles she undertook. Her good humour and solid sense of public duty made her a pleasure to be with. We are sad that her retirement was. So short.....

Thursday, January 4, 2018I am shocked and saddened to learn about the loss of Helen. Helen was my legal assistant when I was first appointed to the Bench in 1999 and was assigned to Milton. She later worked as my CSO often when I sat in Milton. My regular Court has been Brampton for many years. Helen was WONDERFUL. She always had a smile on her face and a story to tell about her dog, her husband or her grandchildren. She was a ray of sunshine. She was always thoughtful and kind.I loved working with her whenever I was assigned to Milton. I am so sorry for your loss. Helen was small in stature but Helen left a big footprint on everyone's heart. Justice Lorna-Lee Snowie

Thursday, January 4, 2018To the Comber Family I am very sorry for your loss. I am a judge at the Brampton courthouse and that is how I came to know Helen. She was always extremely professional and helpful and always had a very pleasant, if slightly mischievous, smile.

Saturday, December 30, 2017Dear Bob, Alisa and Todd I was so saddened to hear of the loss of Helen, your wife, mother and my friend. I was lucky to have had her and Bob attend my retirement due at the Mandarin 3 years ago. A flood of memories come to mind having worked with her for many years at the Brampton Courthouse. She was so generous to me, she would pick me up from Action and detour to Georgetown on her way to Brampton every day for the first 2 years' so this 18 year old could save enough money to buy her first car. She always had a big smile and told it like it was, she never sugar coated it which would make us all laugh. From the baseball team at the courthouse "The Docket Knockers" to the afterhours get together's, she was the life of the party and the glue that kept us together. One thing is for sure she loved her family and took good care of you all. Sincerely Sandy

Monday, December 25, 2017Helen spent her life giving to family, relatives and friends. For that Helen you will be remembered and greatly missed. Taking charge of wallpapering our homes over the years may have seemed like a small favour to her, but it probably saved a marriage, ours Rest in peace Helen With love, your brother in law, Rod
