On April 3rd 2019, Yvonne Denise Double peacefully passed away at the age of 78, surrounded by her family. Yvonne was born March 10th 1941 in England. She and her husband Freddie were married in 1967, and together they emigrated to Canada in 1974 with their three children. Yvonne worked as an air traffic assistant, and then later as an accountant. Yvonne was a lover of animals, nature and learning of all kinds. She enjoyed traveling, and some of her favourite places were South Dakota and Australia. Yvonne loved being outdoors, and spent many summers in her trailer both traveling across North America and stationed in Kingston. Her faith in God was important to her, and she was an active member of St Francis of Assisi Anglican church, and the Anglican Church Women’s Auxiliary.
Yvonne was predeceased by her devoted husband Freddie, her parents Gwen and Ken, and her brothers Alan and Keith. She is survived by her children Joanne, Caroline, Greg (Katie) and grandchildren Maddie and Austin, her sister Marion and her much loved dogs, Harley and Bristol.
A visitation will be held at Scott J Early Funeral Home at 21 James St, Milton on Sunday April 7th 2019 from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm, and a Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday April 8th 2019 at 1:00 pm at St Francis of Assisi Anglican Church at 6945 Meadowvale Town Centre Circle, Mississauga. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the World Wildlife Fund (http://www.wwf.ca/).
