It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our much loved wife and mother, Jean Porter, age 80 at MDH on Monday Jun. 24. Loving wife of Ivan, Mum of Debbie (Gord) and Anthony (Lynn). She will be lovingly remembered by her many relatives here and abroad.
Born in England, Jean moved to Milton, Canada in 1974. She worked for many years at Ziggy’s until her retirement. Jean was a kind and gentle person, who loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a good sense of humour and loved to laugh… even Alzheimer’s couldn’t change that.
Thank you to all the amazing nurses, volunteers and hospital staff at MDH who took the time and the effort to be friendly to Jean and our family; and to all the patients and care givers that we met along the way that became our friends.
Thank you to Judy and Tina for sharing your love of music, it was great to see Jean as she enjoyed watching you perform.
Special Thanks to the staff at the Allendale Day Program for Dementia you did a wonderful job and we are very grateful.
Jean touched those who met her, she was a beautiful, gentle soul.
Good Night, God Bless, you will always be in our heart… until we meet again.
From your loving Family
