GALIOTO, Ann

It is with sad hearts that the family of Ann (Houlden) Galioto announce her peaceful passing on December 3, 2019.  Ann will always be in the heart and memories of her loving husband of 56 years, Tony.  She was the cherished mother of Carol (Peter Sinclair) and Anthony (Kim) and a loving grandmother.  She was the dear sister of Stephen and David.  Ann was predeceased by her parents, Trevor and Mary Houlden and her brother, Stewart.  Born in Halifax, England in 1940, Ann immigrated to Canada in 1956.  She was a lifelong educator, feminist, volunteer, and labour advocate.  Many children in the Milton area were taught by Ann over her long career with HDSB.  She was a woman of faith and was very active in her church.  Visitation will be held at J. Scott Early Funeral Home, 21 James St., Milton (905) 878-2669 on Friday from 7 - 9 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at Grace Anglican Church, 317 Main St., Milton on Saturday at 11 a.m.  Interment, Evergreen Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.
