Ken passed away at Milton District Hospital at the age of 94 with the quiet strength and dignity he displayed all his life. He was predeceased by his wife Alice and son Brian. Deeply loved and missed by his son Wayne (Cynthia), grandchildren Sam, Tim, Leah, Sarah, Connor and Katie, as well as his great-grandchildren Sam, Benjamin, Oliver, Roman, Kingston and Lucas.
Ken served in the Royal Canadian Navy in WWII. As an accomplished piper, he was a long-time member of the Regimental Pipes and Drums of The Lorne Scots (Peel, Dufferin and Halton Regiment). Ken worked incredibly hard to provide for his family and after training as an electrician, spent over 30 years as an electrical inspector for Ontario Hydro.
Above all else, Ken loved his family. He took great interest in each of their lives, never forgetting a birthday, and making each one feel as if they were the most important person in the world. The family will forever cherish the example he set and will honour his memory by striving to live with the same warmth, kindness, generosity and humour.
