It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Elizabeth Hall (nee Wilson) of Milton on December 21, 2020. Shirley was born in Milton on July 30th, 1938 to Paddy and Isabel Wilson (nee Stevens).
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Warren Hall, sons Joseph (Karen) of Prince William, NB and Mathew (Sheila) of Lefroy ON, and grandchildren Devin, Taylor, Bryer, Stacey and Albany. She was predeceased by her parents and 4 brothers, Walt, Don, Harold and Bob.
Shirley was a kind and caring soul who had many talents and passions. Shirley loved people and socializing. She was very musical having played several instruments. She shared her music with many including those at the Rebekahs’ Lodge in Milton where she was an active member. Shirley was known by many names over the years which reflected her personality and interests: Mommy, Mother Bear, Ma, The Cake Lady, The Chocolate Lady, The Ceramic Lady and Grandma. Later in life she spent much of her time sewing, making handmade crafts and attending sales and auctions with Warren. Shirley also had a life-long passion for BINGO where she made many great friends.
For those who wish to honour Shirley’s memory, donations to the Milton District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
