Maria Filomena Travassos was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She entered God’s kingdom on April 25, 2021 at the age 68.
Maria was born to Maria Jose Oliveira and Manuel de Sousa Travassos on September 16, 1952 in Sao Miguel, Portugal. She is survived by her three daughters, Michelle, Paula Rotchford, Tracy Arias their husbands and her grandchildren: Lucas, Alexa and Aria; her siblings Lucia, Manuel, Antonio, Gabriella and Eduarda; in addition to her many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Maria is cherished and loved deeply by all her family and friends.
Maria spent her entire life nurturing people, animals and her plants. She was a devoted grandmother who was always so freely giving of her time and love. She enjoyed spending time gardening and lovingly tending to her flowers. Maria was incredibly involved in her local church and engaged in bible study and Christian fellowship.
Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with as well as those she reached but never met.
