Evans, Lois After a long and joy filled life encompassing four generations, Lois Laurene Evans(nee Rusk), at the age of 94, passed on peacefully at Ian Anderson House, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her loving husband Lorne (Dooney) Evans, her parents Wilbert and Mae Rusk, her brothers Mervin and Donald (Shammy), her sister-in-law Glenna, her sisters Bernice, Doris, Norma and Merle. She leaves her beloved sisters Margaret and Moira and brother-in-law Dennis. She will be forever remembered by her children Gail & Bob Tummon, Danny & Sue Evans and Brad & Marilyn Evans. Also remembered by her loving grandchildren Ryan (Leanne), Chad (Ceiligh) Tummon, Courtney (Steve) Hastie, Craig Evans, Lesley (Darren) Jacklin, Jae (Vicki) Evans, Jen (Dave) McColl. She doted and adored her great grandchildren Tyler, Daniel, Kayla, Taylor, Mackenzie, Kendra, Evan, Jacquelin, Remy, Brady, Bella, Hailey, Chiara, Megan, Dustin and Maverick. She proudly treasured being called Aunt Loie to many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Lois was a beautiful kind soul who had a determined and spirited love of life. She enjoyed the many friends she met and thrived on her family and relished any gatherings and get togethers. She especially enjoyed her time at Whalley Lake with the many family and friends there. Her legacy will Iive on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with. Special thanks to her niece Caroline, the nurses from LHIN and Acclaim Health, Sharilee Cox-Arseneault and the wonderful, caring and compassionate staff at Ian Anderson House who brought her much comfort during her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Knox Presbyterian Church Milton or Ian Anderson House. A virtual service will be held on June 5th. and a celebration of life will be at a future date.
