Shirley Isobel (Forbes) Sim, - August 25, 1934 - May 28, 2021 in the town of Milton.
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother Shirley, aka Nana.
Mom was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) James Sim, her sister Betty and husband Bob Graham, sister-in-law Betty (Bonfield) Forbes. She is survived by her brothers James (Lorna), and George Forbes; her daughter Debbie, sons Keith, Gary and David Sim; grandchildren Michael and Carrie Timbers, Caitllin, David and Tyler Sim and great-grandchildren Charlie, Haydin and Chael.
Sadly, Mom will be missed by her many friends and acquaintances here in Milton and at Summer Place in Grand Valley, but most of all her best friends Jean and Floyd Brigden of Belleville and Ed Orsava of Fergus and finally, her two fur babies Duke and Bandit.
Mom was a lifelong resident of Milton and will be remembered for her 40 plus years work in the law profession as secretary to (Judge) William Sharpe, Murray Haesler and Nigel Gunding.
She was a life member of the Legion Branch 136 Ladies Auxiliary, where she spent many years helping in the kitchen. Her passion for playing cards would find her playing Euchre downstairs on a Tuesday night or playing Cribbage at a tournament somewhere on the weekend.
Our family would like to thank the Paramedics, Doctors, and Nurses at Trillium Hospital, Milton Hospital and Oakville Trafalgar Hospital for the precious care they gave our mother in her time of need. Their efforts and kindness will not be forgotten. We also thank all our family and friends for the condolences and kind offers of assistance at this sad time. Mom's wishes have been carried out and we hope to have a small memorial later.
