Heaven is rockin' tonight as they gained a drummer and music lover.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Perry Lewis on Sunday August 8, 2021 surrounded by his family, in his beloved home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Perry is survived by his loving wife of 30 years and best friend, Cathy; and son Kyle (Melissa). Perry will be greatly missed by his brother Max (Jewel), sister Judy (Glenn), and sister Eileen (the late Sam). Predeceased by siblings, Garry (Kathleen), Willis (Marcella) and Robert. Sadly missed by sisters-in-law Kimberly (Stefan) and Debbie (Rob). Very special uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his many life-long friends with whom he held caring and strong relationships for over 30 years.
Perry was a lover of music, martial arts, and animals and was a friend to everyone. What you didn't know was that our gentle giant loved to shop. The perfect find could be anywhere from over the border, to a second-hand store, or strolling down the aisles of GT with his wife Cathy. You could also find Perry beating on his drums with his band mates, cracking a cold beer in his garage listening to tunes or enjoying a "Kim" size glass of white wine. His other love was gabbing on the phone with his beloved sister Judy or "My Duck", as they called each other.
Everyone who met Perry can tell you that he was the most compassionate, kind, humble and devoted man they ever met. A real genuine soul with a heart of gold.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Acclaim Health for their support in his final days, along with the love and support from his family and friends, especially his sister-in-law Kimberly who was by his and Cathy's sides from the beginning of Perry's diagnosis.
This is not Good-bye; this is Until We Meet Again
Rest in Peace my Music Man, we love you.
In keeping with Perry's wishes, cremation has taken place. Messages of condolence may be left online at www.earlyfuneralhome.com
