Obituary of William Glowka

GLOWKA, William "Bill", August 10, 1933 - March 14, 2022 On Monday March 14, 2022 in his 89th year with his son by his side in Milton, Ontario. Predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Mary. Deeply missed by his daughter Corinne and his son Shawn (Claudette). Loved by his grandchildren Devon, Justin, Sophie and great granddaughter Daelyn. Brother to Anna (Orren) Lane of Lillooet, B.C. and predeceased by sister Helen (Frank) Kuchiak. Stepbrother to Joe Antoszek. Bill was a huge sports fan. He loved all sports, especially the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Blue Jays, and any international sporting event involving any Canadian. He loved fishing and metal detecting and spent many, many days out looking for treasure. He was an avid reader and always had a book on the go. In fact he has a plaque in the Delhi library for donations made to help keep the library going. Most importantly he was an incredible father. Thoughtful, sweet and generous - the love for his family always evident. A testament to the parent he was and how much he was loved can be summed up by the incredible loss and sadness we are experiencing. To say "he will be missed" does not come close to how we feel... but he would want us to move on from this grief and sadness. He is finally with the love of his life again, his beautiful Mary, who he has missed every day for the past 16 years. He'd want us to remember, to embrace, and to share the many, many fantastic lifetime memories we created together as a family. He would feel sad because we feel sad, so it's up to us to make sure we reflect on the endless memories that fill us with happiness and love. Memories that bring smiles to our face and fill our hearts with joy. It will be hard to move forward without him, but it will be easy to celebrate the man he was and to be thankful to have had him in our everyday lives. In keeping with his wishes we are having a small private family service.
