Obituary of Frances Marie Haggart

Frances Marie Haggart (Laroche) 1928-2022 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, grandmother and great grandmother on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Milton District Hospital. Frannie was born in Pembroke, Ontario to her parents Arthur and Aurore Laroche. Predeceased by her husband Wilfred. Lovingly missed by her sons, Don (Mary), Barry (Diane), Robert (Kathy) and Patrick (Debra). She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Paul, Dawn Marie, Donnie, Scott, Michael and Breanne, Alicia, Kristin and Grant, Jordan and Brandon. She also had 10 great grandchildren. Frannie had her Chef’s papers and worked at the E.C. Drury High School for over 30 years and then retired. After her retirement she went to work as a cook for the Safe and Sound Daycare Centre. She was known for her banana bread and good cooking and that is where she got the name “Granny Frannie” from all the children who loved her. When 911 happened, at the age of 75 she baked hundreds of banana breads to raise money for 911. She also knitted baby sweaters and booties over the years for the Milton District Hospital. Frannie was known for her generosity and kind heart. She would bake lasagna’s, banana breads and butter tarts for her doctors, the pharmacy, cleaning lady, PSW’s and all her family over the years. Anyone that met her would say, “what a sweetheart” and that she was. She lived her life for her family especially her grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Ivan Hunter, Dr. Anca and Dr. Wong for their wonderful care over the years, whom were lucky enough to get her baking. A cremation will take place and a private funeral as her request will be held at Scott J. Early Funeral Home at 11a.m. on Wednesday, April, 20, 2022. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, a donation to the food bank would be appreciated. “A bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.” Thank you Mom for a wonderful life you provided us with! Till we meet again!
