CROMWELL, Harry Oliver
October 20, 1939 - August 4, 2022
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of Harry Oliver Cromwell at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on August 4, 2022 after 82 years of life. Harry was born on October 20, 1939 in Hassett, Nova Scotia. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was the son of the late Ruth and Owen Cromwell. Harry is survived by his wife Ginette Cromwell, his three children; son Daniel Cromwell (Tanya), and daughters Janice Ardiles (Benjamin) and Julie Racanelli (Roberto); his grandchildren Olivia, Matthew, Jonathan and Cristina; his sister Audrey Francis; brother Clyde Chaisson and many nieces and nephews. Sisters Edna Cromwell, Esther Hill and brothers Gordon, Stewart and Johnny Cromwell predeceased him. Harry worked for S & C Electric Canada and after 40 years retired in 2007. He was a kind and gentle soul whose laugh was infectious to everyone around him. Harry had a strong and deep love for country music, showing this through song, playing his many guitars, and passing down his love of music to us all. It was the love for his family that was the deepest, and he showed this love each and every day. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, watching them grow up, as they were his pride and joy. Our "Chou chou", Dad and Grand-papa will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday August 11, 2022 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. at J. Scott Early Funeral Home, 21 James St., Milton (905) 878-2669.
