Innes, James
James Innes, age 79, died peacefully at Milton District Hospital on December 3, 2022. Born in Helmsdale Scotland June 9, 1943, married Ann Whitaker in Edinburgh in 1964 and moved to Canada later that year at the age of 21. He worked for 20 years at Molson before owning 2 businesses of his own. Jim was an avid golfer and enjoyed travel.
Jim was a wonderful and supportive father. When his children married, he welcomed his son and daughter- in-laws with open arms. In fact, he had a magical way of making everyone feel welcome in his life. His jovial personality will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
Jim is lovingly remembered by his children Peter (Tonya), Glen (Mary Anne), Heather (Darryl) and grandchildren Jamie, Jonathan, Aidan, Abby and Sophia. He is also survived by siblings John, Jeanette and Margaret, nieces and nephews in both Scotland and Newfoundland.
Visitation will take place at J. Scott Early Funeral home, 21 James Street, Milton on Tuesday, December 6th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at J. Scott Early funeral home on Wednesday, December 7th at 11am. Donations in Jim’s honour may be made to Baycrest Health Sciences https://www.baycrestfoundation.org/.
