Obituary of Wendy Eileen Small
Please share a memory of Wendy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wendy Eileen Small on January 12th, 2023 with her beloved family by her side at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital after a short brave battle with cancer at the age of 62.
Wendy will always be lovingly and forever cherished by her husband of 33 years Larry, her children Shannon (Brent), Tyler (Lina), Eric (Katelyn), Kyle (David), and her grandchildren Cole, Caiden, and Hadleigh.
She will be greatly missed and forever remembered by her sisters, Patricia (Johny), and Sharrie (Gary), as well as her numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends and family members. She is now reunited with her parents, Fred (2021), Dorothy (2022), and her brother David (2007).
Wendy had been a long time mutual clerk for The Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG), formally known as The Ontario Jockey Club (OJC) working for them for almost 30 years.
She was an avid standardbred racing fan and could always be found in the grandstand of the racetrack cheering on her husband Larry who she owned multiple horses with throughout the years.
Family was the most important thing to Wendy, and she was always dedicated to organizing and bringing everyone together from planning birthday celebrations and vacations to backyard barbecues. She was the glue that kept everything together, and she always made everyone feel at home.
The family will receive visitors at J. Scott Early Funeral Home, 21 James St., Milton (905) 878-2669 on Monday January 16, 2023 from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. from the funeral home chapel.
